As a teacher, I feel that good communication is neccesary in order to solve the problems of the world. There are many 'natives' that were once considered 'exotics'. Is it a flower? Or a weed? Is it a rat or a cotton rat? I suppose it is up to the whim of man to decide which species belong where. The demonization of certain species of animals (not just snakes) paints an unfair, un-truthful image. If it is deemed necessary to remove these animals from the everglades national park, could it not be done with respect instead of demonization? And, could there be another solution besides killing them? Maybe you could microchip the caught snakes with a prospective owner's identification; charging enough money to cover the cost of the chip (maybe $25-$50?). The new owner would be made aware that if the snake is found (again) in the park it would euthanized and the owner would be required to pay $5,000 in fines and or jail time. That could work. I'm sure there are many other options as well.
